Mechanism of action
Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the hormone angiotensin, thus relaxing blood vessels. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that removes excess water and certain electrolytes from the body, over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.
How to use
This medication should be taken orally, as directed by your doctor, the dose is usually once a day.
